Do You Do These Four Annoying Things?
25 November 2009

If you want to create more time and less stress in your day you need to be able to make smart decisions quickly. Unfortunately for many making decisions can often take up too much time and attention, which reduces your productivity and can lead to a general sense of frustration! If you do these four annoying things it’s time to revamp they way you make decisions...
Decisions Made Easy
If you're suffering from any of the following annoying habits take note of how to combat them and start enjoying more time and less stress in your day...
1. You take ages to make decisions that aren't critical
Non-fatal, reversible decisions should be made quickly so that you have more time for the stuff that really counts. Stop pondering and get decisive with the decisions that ultimately you can change.
2. You look to create variety when you don't need it
When you look for variety you increase the options that require consideration which in turn take up more decision-making time. Do you really need to spend hours on the internet researching which restaurant to go to or could you be spending your time more wisely on something else?
3. You put off making uncomfortable decisions
If you get an invitation that you don't want to accept DON'T say "I need to check my diary, I'll come back to you" - this just postpones the inevitable and wastes time in the process. Make your decision and move on!
4. You whinge when you make a decision you regret
Moaning takes time! If you've made a decision you regret learn from it and then get on with something else. Whinging simply uses up energy that can be better spent elsewhere.
Studies have shown that most people are much poorer at decision making than they think - make today the day you choose to overhaul your decision-making skills and enjoy more time and less stress in your life!
